The hybrid kitchen scale
Cooking should be a matter of feeling, not a science. Today’s recipes and kitchen scales are calibrated down to the tenth of a gram, which means that the haptic and visual experience of weighing is lost, and people rely too much on the digital display than on their own feeling.
Inspired by old beam scales with counterweights, the simple and proven system has been transferred to the present. The haptic and optical analog experience should be preserved but supported by today‘s technology.
