Design for a brand.
The company “Teenage Engineering” is known for its compact devices for music producers. To expand their product range, we developed a portable espresso machine for their target group.

The ES-1 field is a compact and portable portafilter machine for the finest espresso. Reduced to the minimum, with maximum quality. The interface is playfully designed so that you can influence the entire process manually to get the best possible espresso. To save space, the water tank is external and can be filled with any bottle thanks to the universal cap. The grinder is directly integrated and can be operated precisely with one finger on the rotary disc. The display helps you navigate through the menu and gives instructions on what to do next. The colour-accentuated control dial is used to adjust the coffee quantity, water temperature and aroma profile. Once everything is set as desired, the handle is turned forwards. This closes the bottomless portafilter tightly and starts the brewing process. Once the coffee is made, the sieve can be emptied into the knock-out tray, everything can be put back together and is ready for your next adventure.
